About Gabriel

Gabriel began his violin studies at the age of seven at the CIM Padre Antonio Soler (Madrid).

At the age of sixteen, he was introduced to the baroque violin in the University of Salamanca Baroque Courses and since then has combined his studies of modern and baroque violin.

From 2018 until 2022, he studied at the Royal Madrid Conservatoire with Alejandro Saiz (violin) and José Manuel Navarro (baroque violin). During this time, Gabriel joined the Salamanca Baroque Orchestra collaborating with internationally acclaimed musicians such as Julia Doyle, Alfredo Bernardini and Saskia Salembier.

In 2022, Gabriel was awarded the Violet Wright Scholarship (and later the Henry Wood Accommodation Trust Fund) to further his studies at Trinity Laban (London). Here, he studied with Matthew Denton (violin) and Walter Reiter (baroque violin).

After completing his Bachelor of Music in Performance (Violin) with First Class Honours at Trinity Laban he has offered a place and a scholarship to study a Master of Performance (Historical Violin) at the Royal College of Music (RCM).

He is a member of the London-based early music ensemble “Lowe Ensemble” that includes five of his siblings.

Gabriel has received lessons, masterclasses and coaching from John Butt, Raphael Wallfisch, Hiro Kurosaki, Jacques Ogg, Wilbert Hazelzet and Alissa Margulis (during the August Old Ox Swedish Course) among others.

As a soloist, chamber, and orchestra musician, he has performed in prestigious venues such as Kloster Eberbach, Kurhaus Wiesbaden, Royal Festival Hall, Ateneo de Madrid, Capilla Real de Madrid (Madrid Royal Palace), Cadogan Hall (London), Black Heath Halls (London), Auditorio Ciudad de León, Auditorio Nacional de Música (Madrid), Auditorio del Centro Cultural Castelo Branco (Portugal), Kursaal (San Sebastián), Budapest Kongresszusi Központ, Teatro Monumental (Madrid), Auditorio de Zaragoza.

About the lesson

My name is Gabriel, and I am an experienced violin tutor. Alongside my performing career, I have dedicated the last eight years to teaching. I currently work as a violin tutor for the Marie de Bry Arts Academy and Musecool, delivering both one-to-one private lessons and group classes for students of all ages and levels.

I hold a First-Class Honours degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, and this autumn I will begin my Master of Performance at the Royal College of Music, where I have been awarded a scholarship. My studies at the Royal Madrid Conservatoire and Trinity Laban have allowed me to learn from internationally acclaimed musicians, whose guidance has shaped my own teaching approach. Applying their knowledge and methods in my lessons has proved highly effective in the progress of my students
