About Dunja

Hi, I'm Dunja, an English and Serbian teacher based in Belgrade, Serbia. Serbian is my native language, but worry not, I hold a Master's degree in English Language, Literature, and Culture. I've also been a writer and editor for over a decade, so I keep using and improving my English daily.

I hold my lessons to a high standard. Which, I promise, is a lot less scary than it sounds. :) I'm here to be not just your tutor, but also your biggest support on the wonderful journey of learning a language!

About the lesson

When I teach, I use a textbook the way most people use a GPS: it's a general guide, but I still pay attention to what and who's in front of me. Textbooks help with structure so we don't wander off, but I bring lots of extra materials.

In my typical lesson, we work in English as much as possible. I'm patient and observant, and also adaptable if your skills, needs, or even your mood require it. But I can promise you one thing - I'll always make sure you leave with something you'll find useful.

What sets me apart is that I'm a writer and editor, and, a fun fact: a psychotherapist in training! This means, on the one hand, that I'm full of stories, interests, and experience, which means our conversation in English will never lack topics. And on the other hand, it also means I'll truly be present and understanding, and not just force you to fill in the gaps or put the words in the correct order. :)

I work best with intermediate and advanced learners (B1+) who want to improve their English, whether for work, travel, daily life, or anything else.
