About Reese

I developed a passion for programming through exploring logic puzzles and creating small programs during my early studies, which eventually led me to pursue a Master’s in Computer Science. Over 8 years, I have taught students from different backgrounds, guiding them to understand the logic behind coding and develop practical skills. I emphasise patience, clarity, and a supportive approach that ensures students grow in both knowledge and confidence.

My teaching style focuses on making abstract concepts tangible through real-world examples, guided exercises, and interactive projects. I encourage students to think independently, test solutions, and develop a mindset for troubleshooting and problem-solving. Each learner receives tailored guidance to match their level and interests, making lessons enjoyable and impactful.

Outside the classroom, I continue exploring programming languages, frameworks, and project-based learning techniques to keep lessons fresh and relevant. Witnessing students move from uncertainty to confidently building their own applications is highly rewarding. My goal is to empower learners with both technical competence and the confidence to explore technology creatively and independently.

About the lesson

Learning programming becomes engaging when students understand the logic and creativity behind building software. My lessons cover Python, Java, algorithms, data structures, and web development, focusing on connecting concepts to practical projects. I encourage hands-on coding, interactive exercises, and real-life problem scenarios so students can see how programming solves everyday challenges. Every lesson emphasises structured thinking, logical reasoning, and step-by-step problem breakdowns, which helps learners develop confidence as they progress from simple tasks to complex projects.

I design lessons for all levels. Beginners learn programming basics, variables, loops, and conditionals with clear explanations and practice exercises. Intermediate learners focus on object-oriented programming, modular code, debugging, and small projects to strengthen understanding. Advanced students tackle algorithms, optimisation, APIs, and project planning to simulate real-world development environments. Each session provides guided exercises, constructive feedback, and encouragement, ensuring consistent improvement and practical mastery.

Programming strengthens critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative skills. My aim is to cultivate a learning environment where students feel confident exploring new ideas, solving challenging problems, and experimenting with code without fear of failure. By connecting abstract logic to tangible applications, learners develop independence, resilience, and a deeper appreciation for the power of programming in modern life.
