About Aven
I earned a PhD in Computer Science and have spent 11 years teaching programming to students with diverse goals and backgrounds. My interest in technology began through curiosity about how software powers modern life and creates innovative solutions. Over the years, teaching has become a way for me to share that enthusiasm while helping learners achieve their ambitions.
My approach emphasizes patience, adaptability, and clear communication. Every learner faces different challenges when learning to code, so I customize lessons to suit individual needs. Through project-based learning, practical examples, and detailed guidance, I help students build confidence and improve steadily. Encouraging independent thinking is a key part of my teaching philosophy.
Outside tutoring, I enjoy exploring emerging technologies, software development trends, and programming research. Staying connected to these areas helps me bring fresh perspectives into lessons. Teaching programming is rewarding because it allows me to help students transform ideas into working solutions. My programming lessons focus on helping students understand how software is created through logical thinking and structured problem solving. I teach topics such as Python, Java, C++, algorithms, data structures, databases, and software design using clear explanations and practical exercises. Rather than simply teaching code syntax, I help learners understand the thought process behind effective programming. This creates stronger foundations and greater confidence.
Each lesson is tailored to match the student's experience level and goals. Beginners start with essential programming concepts such as variables, loops, functions, and conditions through guided projects. Intermediate learners improve debugging skills, code organization, and algorithmic thinking. Advanced students focus on software architecture, optimization techniques, and larger development projects. Continuous practice and feedback support steady growth and skill development.
