About Lauren
As a recent graduate myself, I know all too well how overwhelming studying at degree level can be and therefore I tailor my teaching style to make sessions as useful as possible in a short space of time, whilst maintaining a fun learning environment.
I am equipped to tutor anyone studying psychology from GCSE to undergraduate level but it is worth noting that I specialise in the AQA course specification for GCSE's and A-Levels. I also tutor statistics and criminology up to degree level, as well as Biology and English Literature up to A-level.
My lessons will be online, via Skype, and I will email any necessary resources ahead of the lesson to give students the opportunity to print them or look at them ahead of time. I believe in a student lead approach, whereby students will let me know the specific areas they need guidance on and I will construct a lesson around this.
I typically teach in 1 hour slots but if a student required my help with an intense revision session before an exam or a read through of coursework before submission, I am happy to work in 2 hour sessions.
I am a Psychology and Criminology BSc graduate, graduating from Royal Holloway University of London with a First Class Honours.
I have three years experience of tutoring students that were failing specific modules and bringing their grades back up to a 1st or a high 2:1, as well as experience teaching English online to Chinese Students.
I worked as a support worker for young adults with learning difficulties for two years, which would enable me to support anyone with specific learning needs.
I completed a 12,000 word dissertation that required both qualitative and quantitative statistical analysis and achieved a first class honours for my work, as well as tutoring others on their own analysis.
