About Alisha
Hi, I'm Alisha, a Psychology graduate at Birmingham Newman University with a passion for helping students develop their understanding of psychology and achieve their academic goals. I am particularly interested in mental health and clinical psychology, and I enjoy making complex topics easier to understand. I have experience supporting young people in educational settings and aim to create a friendly, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where students can build confidence and reach their full potential. I have experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties through my work in educational settings. This has helped me develop a patient, adaptable teaching approach that can be tailored to different learning styles and needs

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, learning style, and goals. I use clear explanations, interactive discussions, practice questions, and exam-style activities to help students understand key psychological concepts and develop confidence. I also provide support with essay writing, research methods, revision techniques, and exam preparation.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required.
I hold a BSc in Psychology and have experience supporting young people in educational settings, including as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. My academic background has given me a strong understanding of psychological theories, research methods, and academic writing.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level Psychology students of all abilities, whether they need extra support with difficult topics, want to improve their grades, or are preparing for exams. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding of psychology.
