About Elisteinar
I am currently doing my graduate degree in Psychology at the University of Oslo. I am a former student of History, Politics and Spanish at Edinburgh University. I attended the IB (International Baccalaureate) at Mountbatten UWC Atlantic College in Wales, and graduated with a multilingual IB diploma.
In my tutoring I focus on all humanitarian (History, Global Politics and Environmental Systems & Societies), ToK, EE, English, Norwegian and Spanish literature. All the above concerns the IB and general Norwegian primary, secondary and high school.Further, I can help with general essay writing, motivational statements and college applications. I especially have expertise in applications to the UK (accepted at LSE, King's College, St. Andrew's and Edinburgh University).

My course are based on a primary holistic mapping of the student, where one finds the optimal teaching methods, homework (or none at all) program and above all else, gets to know the students themselves. Through mutual trust, good communication and a constructive, development based dialogue I contribute to ensure that the student has all resources and tools in order to succeed.
I introduce topics by consciously seeking to wake the hunger for learning in a student. A strong sentiment of 'having fun' whilst tackling obstacles in a topic, and relishing challenges will be consciously nurtured by both tutor and student. This naturally increases a sense of achievement, and higher incline of development for the student. This could be through a presentations, videos, games, articles or stories told by yours truly, which all can show the relevance of any given topic for the student's point of view and field of interest.
