About Ruhee
I’m a licensed psychologist with a PhD in psychology and extensive experience in psychological assessment, child and adolescent development, mental health, research, and evidence-based practice. My professional work has included clinical care, assessment, supervision, and training other professionals.
I genuinely enjoy teaching psychology and helping people make sense of concepts that can initially feel unnecessarily complicated. My style is approachable, organized, and practical, with an emphasis on understanding the reasoning behind psychological concepts rather than simply memorizing terminology.
I bring both academic training and real-world experience to tutoring, while keeping lessons supportive and judgment-free. Whether a student is trying to master course material, prepare for an exam, improve a paper, or better understand research and clinical concepts, my goal is to help them leave feeling more confident in both the material and their ability to work with it.

I tailor lessons to the student’s course, learning style, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I focus on making complicated psychological concepts understandable, memorable, and useful through clear explanations, real-world examples, and active discussion.
A typical session may include reviewing difficult material, breaking down theories or research findings, working through practice questions, and identifying connections between concepts so that students understand the material rather than simply memorize it.
I hold a PhD in psychology and have extensive experience with psychological assessment, research, child and adolescent development, psychopathology, and evidence-based practice. I especially enjoy helping students strengthen clinical reasoning and understand how psychological science translates into real-world situations.
Lessons are appropriate for high school, AP Psychology, undergraduate, and graduate-level psychology students, as well as students seeking support with research methods, academic writing, assessment concepts, or exam preparation.
