About Graham
Having studied philosophy and modern languages (French, Spanish, and Italian) to DipHE level, I am able to provide tuition in these areas in addition to psychology, neuroscience, statistics and coding. I have studied at the University of St Andrews (Philosophy and Modern Languages), University of Glasgow (Psychology, Neuroscience, and Statistics), University of Radboud (Clinical Psychology Practice), University of Aarhus (Neuroimaging), and the University of Oxford (Master's and PhD in Psychology).
As a research psychologist, my academic interests lie in ageing and dementia, as well as developmental trauma and the psychology of religion. I have 17 published research papers in these areas that students can reference to see that sort of work I do.

While my teaching method is always tailored to the individual's needs and capacities, I try to base my pedagogy on psychological research in learning and memory. Lessons therefore will be structured around 'learning how to learn' (e.g., elaborate encoding, method of loci, practice recall) and applying this to their course outcomes and syllabus. Generally, lessons will follow this structure: introduction to topic, explanation of appropriate learning methods, testing, critical engagement, and questions for further learning.
Recommendations

Graham is an outstanding tutor. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, shows great attention to detail and is able to make difficult concepts understandable through concise communication. Through his tutoring with coursework, assignments and RStudio, I have seen a significant improvement in my university grades which would not have been possible without him. I would strongly recommend him as a tutor!
