About Olivia

Hi, I'm Olivia! I'm someone who truly enjoys connecting with others and creating a learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and capable. I’ve always been drawn to language and communication—not just the technical side of English, but also how it helps us express ourselves and understand the world. Teaching gives me the chance to share that passion while supporting students in a meaningful way. I'm approachable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping learners reach their full potential. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, everyone can thrive academically and build lasting confidence. As a tutor, I'm professional, well-organised, and committed to showing up fully for each of my students. I want to be the kind of tutor I would’ve loved to have myself—someone who listens, adapts, and really cares.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is student-centred, engaging, and adaptable to each learner’s goals and style. I aim to create a supportive environment that builds confidence and curiosity—especially in English. Whether it’s grammar, creative writing, exam preparation, or conversational fluency, I use interactive techniques like discussions, games, roleplay, and guided reading to make lessons enjoyable and effective. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, with flexibility depending on the student's age and needs. I’ve tutored children and teens aged 6 to 18 for several years, both privately and through online platforms. I also have experience preparing students for English exams like the B2 Cambridge, and I adjust materials to fit different skill levels—from complete beginners to advanced learners. Currently, I’m studying Psychology at the University of Manchester and have A-Levels in English Literature (awarded an A*), Psychology, Sociology and Polish. I also speak Spanish (intermediate/advanced), Polish (fluent), and French (beginner), which helps me support multilingual students and explain concepts clearly to those learning English as a second language. These lessons are ideal for primary and secondary school students, IGCSE and A-level learners, or anyone looking to improve their English skills in a fun, flexible, and motivating space.
