About Evelyn
I've had a passion for literature since I was a child, and it is my pleasure to share this love of reading in students, and inspire in them the confidence to thrive academically. In addition to my experience with literature, my creative writing and poetry have been lauded by poets, and I have attended literary conferences in my state. In my spare time, I enjoy creative writing, mushrooming, and old science-fiction shows.

My lessons are held in Socratic format, wherein students are encouraged to open up and hold a dialogue connecting the themes of assigned readings with the larger contexts of their lives and society. Classes take on a supplemental role, and can help with those who may be struggling to succeed at understanding literature with conventional teaching methods, as well as those looking to deepen their appreciation and understanding of literature more broadly. These lessons will most benefit middle school, high school, and undergraduate students looking for an additional push to thrive academically and artistically.
