About Sophie
I am a novelist with one recently published novel and another currently in progress. I have an English degree from Cambridge and a Creative Writing MA from Goldsmiths. I have run a writing workshop for a number of years and love supporting people to get their work to the best possible place! I'm also fluent in BSL (British Sign Language) so if you are a BSL user then I'd happily teach in BSL!

I offer lessons in creative writing and English literature! Creative Writing: Writing a novel is hard and solitary but with support you can get to the end and into a final draft! I will work with you to develop your ideas for your story and help with deadlines so that you are able to complete a whole draft! Whatever you are working on, whether it is a short story or just the beginning of an idea, I can support you to develop your writing skills and voice. I will help you understand the editing process and the next steps once you feel your work is ready to move into the public realm! English Literature I can provide lessons to support GCSE, A level, BA and MA English Literature studies in terms of close reading, essay writing, analysis, referencing and creative thinking. With an English Literature BA from Cambridge, an MA from Goldsmiths and many years of teaching, running writing workshop and bookclubs I love finding ways of making literature approachable and exciting!
