About James
I have a 2:1 BA Hons in Creative Writing (Bath Spa University) and A-Levels in English Language and Creative Writing.
I have written Fog of War, a play set around the Battle of Barnet. This weekend debut took place at Hadley Church in front of an audience of over 250 people. Fog of War has also had several features in local magazines, including Barnet Society.
I am a published poet, sharing a poetry book with many successful poets including Benjamin Zephania.
I have taught as a Teaching Assistant for two years across various Primary Schools in North London and Bath. Including my work as a nursery assistant, I have taught children from ages 3 up to 11 in groups and in 1:1 settings.

The first lesson will focus on building a relationship with the student. I will ask various questions about their experience on the given subject to establish an understanding of what I should cover and how I should adapt my teaching style for them.
I will construct a routine for the student to follow (not to be labelled as homework) in order to maintain their learning out of lessons and in the future.
Recommendations

James is an excellent tutor. He’s encouraging, supportive and he makes the sessions enjoyable.
James is a great teacher, he has lots of patience and an open friendly attitude.
James Godwin has worked professionally as a theatre writer for the bull players. During this time he has been very trusted by all the company. He met deadlines and worked sensitively, creating material for our theatre productions. He is a creative script writer and an excellent tutor for several young members of the company taking exams in English, maths and saxophone. I thoroughly recommend him as a tutor.
