About Yuriy

I started my tutoring career in 2013 and since then I have worked with more than 300 students. While I was studying in MIPT, I worked as a teacher in the evening school and was providing course "Olympiad Maths" which was oriented on preparing students for competitions of different levels. In 2015 and 2016 I was teaching course "Intro to Calculus" in Summer International School. 90% of my former students became students of the best universities of UK, US, Germany, Norway and Switzerland. Currently I am working with GCSE/IB/A-levels/Degree levels in Computer Science, Maths and ️ Physics. As a regular human being, I have plenty of interests and hobbies and here are some of them: - Reading (non-fictional literature, usually self-development based and business oriented literature) ️- Gym (“Healthy mind in a healthy body”) ️- Football (used to be in a university team) ️- Basketball (used to be in a U-11 team) ️- Photography & Video Editing (worked with 500k followers YouTube channel) ️-‍ Cooking (especially Italian and Asian cuisines) ️️- Languages (fluent speaker in 3 languages - , intermediate in the 4th language and beginner in the 5th language )

About the lesson

My lessons always suggest a friendly and relaxing atmosphere and this is the key factor that each of my students doesn't hesitate to make mistakes while solving problems. I think it is one of the most important things to show to a student that everyone has a right to make mistakes. "How can we use solving this problem in everyday life?" is one of the most popular questions among students. Showing how simple and applicable maths can be is one of the fundamental ideas that defines my teaching process. I believe that splitting one problem into smaller problems that can be solved step by step allows students to understand the subject deeper. Within the last 5 years I almost fully switched to online tutoring. For teaching Maths and Physics I use a mix of Google Docs, GeoGebra and Online Whiteboard which lets me quickly prepare beautiful and easy to read lectures that students can have lifetime access to. To work on Programming/Coding and Computer Science projects and problems I usually use a mix of Replit, VSCode, PyCharm, Clion. Each of the tools allows us to work on the code together in live action.

Deadly! Yurii pays attention to every detail, every time I had questions about a certain topic he explained it in details again so I went pretty deeply in understanding of Python concepts and especially OOP concepts. Highly recommend to work with Yurii!
