About KATY
Having taught in Primary Schools across London for eight years in every year group, I have extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum and how children progress through Primary School. I am a patient and positive teacher who is passionate about seeing children flourish and succeed in learning. I know what is required to ensure students pass their Phonics Screening Test in Year 1 and SATs in Year 2 and Year 6.
In my teaching, I focus on getting the material across in an interactive and fun way, so students with different learning styles will be able to access it. I adapt the curriculum and personally design appropriate lessons to suit students’ learning goals; to do this successfully, I like to create an individual learning plan with the students and parents. I help set goals, track students’ progress and offer feedback to make sure those goals are met.
I can offer lessons at the student's home or I can offer lessons online via video call where I will send work for the children to complete online during the lesson. I have added some available time slots to my profile, but feel free to contact me to discuss your timetabling needs as I currently have availability to fit in around your family's schedule.
