About Rylee
For the past two years, I have been teaching Year 3, and this September I am excited to be making the move to Year 1 in a new school. Throughout my training and teaching career, I have gained experience working across the entire primary phase, giving me a strong understanding of how children develop and the skills they need at every stage of their learning journey.
I have a particular passion for English, especially early reading, phonics and writing. Helping children become confident readers and writers is something I find incredibly rewarding. Equally, I enjoy supporting older pupils in developing these skills further as they prepare for SATs and the 11+ entrance examinations, building both their confidence and academic ability.
Every child is unique, so I believe tuition should be tailored to their individual strengths, interests and learning style. My lessons are engaging, supportive and designed to help children not only make excellent progress but also develop a genuine love of learning. I also have experience supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and understand the importance of adapting teaching to meet every child's needs.
Outside of teaching, I am an avid reader and firmly believe that fostering a love of books is one of the greatest gifts we can give children. I love spending time at home with my partner, our dog and our chickens, and I enjoy keeping active by going to the gym. These interests help me bring warmth, patience and enthusiasm into my teaching, creating a positive learning environment where children feel comfortable, motivated and able to thrive.

Hello! I'm a qualified Primary School Teacher with a PGCE and QTS, currently teaching in a primary school. I have experience teaching across KS1 and KS2, with a particular passion for helping children develop confidence in English, Maths, Reading, Writing and Phonics. I also have experience supporting children with a range of SEND needs and adapt my teaching to suit each child's individual learning style.
My lessons are engaging, personalised and designed to help children feel confident and enjoy learning. Before we begin, I'll discuss your child's strengths, areas for development and goals so that every lesson is tailored to their needs. Whether your child needs support to catch up, prepare for SATs or the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check, or simply wants to build confidence, I provide a calm, encouraging environment where they can thrive.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although 30- or 45-minute sessions can be arranged for younger children if appropriate. I offer tuition for Reception, KS1 and KS2 pupils in English, Maths and Phonics, both online and in person.
As a current classroom teacher, I understand the National Curriculum and the expectations children are working towards in school. My aim is not only to improve attainment but also to help every child become a confident, independent learner who enjoys their education.
