About Elmarie
Hi! I’m a friendly and patient tutor who loves helping young learners discover the joy of reading. I teach because I believe every child deserves to feel confident and proud of their abilities, especially when they unlock the magic of words. Seeing students grow, smile, and realize “I can do this!” is what inspires me every day. I create a kind, supportive space where it’s okay to make mistakes, ask questions, and learn at your own pace, so you can become the best reader you can be.

Learning to read can feel like a fun adventure, and that’s exactly how I teach phonics! In my lessons, we play with sounds, letters, and words through games, stories, and exciting activities that make learning feel easy and enjoyable. I help you become a “sound detective,” figuring out how letters work together to build words, so reading starts to make sense and feels less tricky. Everyone learns at their own pace, and I’m there to cheer you on, build your confidence, and celebrate every new word you can read all by yourself!
