I also have a keen interest in photography and have previously worked in the film industry. All of these skills enable me to be versatile, resilient and to problem solve in a unique way, usually when a student says the classic line "I can't draw.......". (Reference Available on Request)
I also work currently as a commission portrait artist specialising in oils and watercolours.

My name is Kirsten and I am a Fine Artist Specialising in portraiture. I have over 20 years of teaching experience at secondary and A Level standard in Art, Craft & Design, Fine Art & Photography. The Typical lengths of my lessons would be 1 hour but I can be flexible especially leading up to exams. My Experience is teaching 11 - 18 but am happy to tutor older age groups
I have been teaching for over 20 years and have taught Art, Craft & Design, Fine Art & Photography at GCSE & Fine Art at A Level. I have also taught Creative Media at Level 2. These have been across several examination boards. I have a track record of achieving good results whilst ensuring that students maintain a love of the subject.
My approach to tutoring is to ensure that it is personalised to each individual student and that the student has ownership over the subject matter and most of the time we will have a discussion about which is the best choice of media for them to achieve the best results.
