About Martha
I speak standard Dutch and was born in Groningen, an university town in the North of The Netherlands and that is where I studied both sociology (MA) and Roman Languages (BA). I moved abroad to Ireland to obtain a Phd in Sociology from Trinity College at the Institute for International Integration Studies (IIIS).
I taught Dutch in Ireland at the well-known Sandford Language Institute to support myself during my PhD. After obtaining my Phd. I moved to London and right now I live in New York.
I have strong Dutch roots, but an international outlook and am a qualified professional Dutch teacher. Am excited to meet you!

We will first identify your goal, your timeline, your experience with learning other languages and your hobbies and your interests. My classes are perfectfor studentsfrom all ages who want to learn Dutch for business, for love or for travel. I include learning about Dutch culture in my lessons, so that you learn Dutch as if you were living in The Netherlands.
