About Sophie
I'm a qualified primary teacher with over 5 years' experience working in top independent schools, where I developed a deep understanding of how to support children with a wide range of learning needs. In addition to classroom teaching, I’ve provided 1:1 tuition for children with dyslexia and dyscalculia, helping them overcome challenges and build lasting confidence. Some of my proudest moments include helping a GCSE student rise from a grade 1 to a grade 4 in just six months, and supporting a younger child to read full sentences independently within four months—a huge step forward for their learning journey. As a Level 7 qualified assessor, I’m also able to read and interpret diagnostic reports, and more importantly, implement the recommendations directly into my lessons. This ensures that the support your child receives is targeted, effective, and aligned with their specific needs. My goal is always to create a calm, encouraging space where your child feels safe, understood, and empowered to achieve.
