About Hamna

Hello, I’m Hamna; a passionate and dedicated English Literature graduate with several years of teaching experience in both classroom and one to one settings. I have worked as a secondary school teacher and teaching assistant, supporting students from a range of backgrounds and ability levels to achieve strong academic outcomes.
My teaching approach is structured, supportive, and inclusive. I focus on building students’ confidence alongside their skills, using clear explanations, creative lesson planning, and patient guidance to help them succeed. I have experience mentoring large groups of students, providing academic coaching, and adapting lessons to suit different learning needs.
I was also selected for a competitive Stanford-sponsored fellowship through Amal Academy, where I developed advanced skills in communication, time management, and professional development. This experience strengthened my ability to deliver organised, engaging, and well-planned lessons.
Alongside my academic background in English Literature and Language, I have completed professional development courses in media literacy, business English, digital tools, and inclusive education. I am confident in using educational technology to enhance learning and keep lessons interactive.
