About Lorena

Hi, there! I’m Lorena, an EFL teacher from Argentina. I’ve been teaching English for more than ten years now and, the more I use it the more fascinating I find it.

When I got my degree back in 2008, I specialized in English Grammar and I’ve been teaching it since 2011.

I trully believe that the best way to learn a language is by using it and by being exposed to a natural context. That's why I've been using this approach to teaching for a long time now. Do you want to be part of this enjoyable learning experience?

About the lesson

Do you feel you've forgotten all about English because you haven't used it for a long time? Or, is your long-awaited trip about to begin and you suddenly realised that you need to brush up on your English? If so, don't get mad and enroll on the these speaking sessions instead.

The sessions aim at improving your level of English by placing emphasis on real communication. How? By using authentic material like videos, songs, ads, articles etc. In that way, you'll feel you are using- and revising- the language while having fun at the same time.

This approach will also allow you to improve the four skills (listening, speaking, writing and reading) since we'll be using them directly or indirectly throughout the lessons.

There's no formal explanation of grammar rules, vocabulary or any other aspect of the language unless the student wants to deal with them. Yet, the structor may comment on a given topic at the end of the lesson if it affected communication.

Feedback will be given at the end of each session and it will focus on both the positive aspects of the students' performace and on the points to reinforce.
