About Jo

I am a qualified teacher, tutor and examiner. I work with leading agents and parents gaining entry to top private schools in the UK and USA. All my students gain top grades and love my in-depth knowledge and approach to learning and exams. The diversity of my teaching has enabled me to develop an individual, open and supportive style. Pupils find my lessons invigorating, dynamic and are confident in sharing their learning needs when the bar is raised higher than expected. Pupils have increased confidence, ability and grades. My success is due to excellent subject knowledge and high expectation that is supported through well-structured, lessons. I can manage all aspects of school life, including issues with curriculum, meeting targets for potential that supports school learning in addition to personal development. Private educational consultancy for school selection, school management and all entrance exams to top private schools in the UK and America. English for 7+ 11+ 13+ 16+ GCSE IB and A level. About the lesson

With 20 years teaching experience, my lessons are in-depth, rigorous and bespoke for each child's needs. I utilise a wide variety of texts that are rich in description and elevated in ideas. I have expertise in Shakespeare, poetry and all texts for GCSE A Level and IB. I have excellent success at 11+ 13+ 16+ and GCSE & A Level. My students thrive in my lessons, developing skills needed for top grades. Students cover more in my lessons due to my extensive subject knowledge of curriculum and exams. Children leave my lessons feeling empowered, knowledgeable and confident to apply new skills learnt. Lessons are 60 minutes in person or online. I can teach Y6 - Y13 with superb results.
