• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  I teach accounting, finance and statistics. Since I migrated to London, back in 2005, I have started learning accounting. Thereafter, it has been an amazing journey. Thereafter, I have completed ACCA and CFA. I have learned many technical aspects of my financial study through out my study period. I never looked back and kept on learning more and more and I find this subject really interesting as I have been able to apply it to many areas of my life whether it be with any other work I do or even in personal life. I have decided to become a private tutor and spread my knowledge to other students. It has been a great privilege helping students for their exam preparation.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students.

  I teach accountancy, finance, investment, tax & statistics in graduate & post graduate level. In addition, I teach high profile professional exam students for ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT, CTA, ATT, CISI, IMC & CFA. I also teach portfolio management, wealth management, corporate finance, financial reporting, quantitative method, equity investment, fixed income, alternative investment, risk management, derivatives and foreign exchange. In accountancy, I teach all subjects area which includes financial accounting, financial reporting, corporate reporting, management accounting, performance management, financial management including advanced financial management, audit and assurance, personal taxation, corporate taxation, capital gain tax, value added tax and inheritance tax. Moreover, I also teach GCSE mathematics and A level statistics & accounting and cover all boards syllabus.

• Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  Specially, the teachers from my boyhood day in my secondary and higher secondary school inspired me a lot to become a teacher. I will never forget those teachers from my teenage days who shaped my knowledge through out those period in those days. For me, they are legends.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  The best tutors are experienced qualified teachers. Great tutors always build a rapport with all of their students. Skillful teachers can adapt to the student's needs and requirements. Responsible teachers frequently communicate with the guardians. Respectful and revered teachers have open and honest relationship with their students. The professional teachers always act professionally and uphold the professional duties. Friendly teachers are flexible and patient. Intelligent teachers always make the lessons relevant to real life scenarios.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  During my boyhood days in my secondary school, My father used to say, "If you ever get first rank in the exam, the next day I will present you a train watch". I never saw a Train watch before. But train watch was the immediate answer came to my mind when I saw this question. I remember I used to imagine how a train watch would be. I imagined few things like it will give train sounds every hour and train will be always running inside. Even I told my childhood friends about my imaginations as description of a train watch. They believed it and I promised that I will get one soon. Unfortunately, I never got first Rank in my school days and the thoughts about the trainwatch were vanished as the days passed. I still regret for my unfulfilled dream.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  Financial Reporting standards are needed to be revised constantly to tackle the latest issues when applying the treatments. Tax rules are changing and evolving each year to improve fiscal and moneytary policy to operate the economy. Hence, keeping myself afresh with new information is a challenge but also enjoyable. It enables me to continuously assess how global economy and domestic economy are progressing and performing.

• Do you have a particular passion?

  I like to play cricket. I love to watch animal documentary, world history and sports history. I love to go out with my friends for outings, clubbings, dinner and dancing.

• What makes you a Superprof?

  I thoroughly enjoy teaching students. My teaching style is very effective and efficient. I make the study material to students easy and understandable so that it makes sense to the learners. I provide friendly learning environment. I repeat key concept many times until the students grab it as understanding the key concept is very crucial for passing the exam. I demonstrate how to approach the exam question and answer the question within time limit as time management is another essential factor during the exam. Most of the students who followed my method of learning succeed in the exam.
