About Niall

My name is Niall. I'm from Cork originally but have now settled in Dublin. I've always had a connection with France as I traveled there a lot when I was younger. I've always loved languages. I studied French, German, and Irish for my Leaving Cert. I studied French and German up to my second year of college and then chose French as my main language. I then spent a year studying in Bordeaux in the southwest of France. After my primary degree, I completed a Master's Degree in French Literature in UCC. I worked with Amazon.fr on the French website for 2 years before training to become a teacher.

About the lesson

I provide exam focused tuition that prepares students for the Leaving Cert French exam. Students will receive structured lessons based on the 4 language skills that are assessed during their final year: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Particular emphasis is placed on the oral exam. Students will also receive sample answers based on relevant topics for the written section of the exam. I have over 10 years experience teaching HL French. I have worked for the State Exams Commission as a French Oral Examiner; I have also corrected the Leaving Cert written paper. I've been teaching in Ireland for 15 years. I studied in France and hold a Master's Degree in French literature. I have been giving grinds for over 10 years. My grinds would be most suited to Leaving Certificate students.
