About Liam
I am a qualified and experienced further education lecturer who is registered with the General Teaching Council (Scotland). Additionally, I have published my research in a peer-reviewed academic journal, demonstrating my subject expertise.
I have knowledge in a broad range of subjects including;

I am a passionate teacher who strives to help students achieve their full academic potential. I endeavour to teach in a simple and accessible way which turns complex theories and concepts into easy to understand content for every level of student.

My teaching style utilises constructivist and social constructivist pedagogies to enable students to engage fully with the subject matter in a collaborative manner with the tutor.
Students will be first taught the relevant content through a variety of materials including slideshow presentations and informative videos. Later, I encourage my students to critically apply the relevant theories and concepts taught to real world topics and case studies, which is necessary to demonstrate deep comprehension of the subject matter.
My approach also utilises task-based learning activities which require the student to discuss topics and critically evaluate academic sources.
Lessons are typically 1 hour in length (this can be altered to fit individual student need).
My formal qualifications include;
* Teaching Qualification for Further Education (with distinction)
* MA in TESOL and Intercultural Communication (with distinction)
* BA honours in Social Sciences and Criminology (first class)
* I am General Teaching Council (Scotland) registered
I have experience teaching in both college and community settings. I primarily teach in post-16 settings working with adult students and high school students aged 14-16.
I can teach lessons from GCSE/National 5 to undergraduate level. My lessons are appropriate for any student who is looking to enhance their subject knowledge or prepare for assessment.
