About Columbine
I am a qualified and experienced secondary science teacher with many years of teaching GCSE science across a range of abilities and exam boards, including AQA and OCR. I have also held leadership roles within schools, giving me a strong understanding of how students learn and how to help them succeed in exams.
I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to focus on the individual student—understanding where they are, what they find challenging, and how best to support them. I take particular care in explaining ideas clearly and helping students build confidence alongside their knowledge.
My approach is calm, patient, and structured, with a clear focus on helping students feel secure in their understanding and make consistent progress over time.

My lessons are highly structured, efficient, and focused on delivering measurable improvement in GCSE science. As a qualified and experienced secondary science teacher, I specialise in exam preparation for AQA and OCR, with a strong emphasis on exam technique and mark scheme application.
Each session is carefully planned around the student’s current level and target grade. I quickly identify gaps in knowledge, address misconceptions, and use exam-style questions to develop precise, high-scoring answers.
I work effectively with students aiming to secure key grade boundaries (4/5) as well as those targeting top grades (7–9), providing clear strategies for both.
Lessons are purposeful, calm, and academically rigorous, with consistent feedback.
