About Thom
I am a recently qualified teacher (PGCE in secondary modern foreign language). Prior to begining teaching in seocndary schools, I have been privately tutoring German for the last three years, and learning it myself for the last fourteen years. I have worked in many German-language positions in the corporate world, and can help with students adjusting to language-based job roles.
I have lived in a bachelors degree in German and Linguistics from the University of Leeds, and have also studied at the Eberhard-Karls Universität Tübingen.

My classes tend to revolve around immersion and language practice through role play - I find people always tend to understand and retain elements of language learning such as vocabulary and novel grammar if they are given opportunities to use it in genuine and free-flowing conversation, either oral or written.
