About Krystal

I am a dedicated secondary school teacher with a genuine passion for Psychology and over eight years’ experience supporting student development. I teach the AQA specification daily, which gives me a strong understanding of what examiners expect and how to tailor lessons to meet those criteria effectively.
I believe that with the right structure and guidance, every student can make meaningful progress and develop confidence in their abilities. A-Level study can feel overwhelming, particularly when it comes to extended writing and exam pressure. My approach is calm, supportive and highly structured, helping students break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps.
I am especially mindful of students who struggle with confidence, and I create a learning environment where questions are welcomed, mistakes are part of learning, and progress feels achievable

About the lesson

My tutoring focuses not only on content knowledge, but on exam technique, structure and clarity — the key differences between average answers and top grades. I adapt sessions to each student’s learning style and have extensive experience supporting students with anxiety and SEND needs.
What makes my tutoring different is that I don’t just understand psychology — I understand the AQA examination process. I teach the specification daily, know how mark schemes are applied, and focus explicitly on examiner expectations. Many tutors understand the concepts; I specialise in teaching students how to translate their knowledge into high-scoring exam responses.
As a qualified SENCO, I bring an additional layer of insight into how students learn, process information and manage exam pressure. This allows me to tailor strategies that genuinely work for neurodiverse learners and those who lack confidence.
My aim is simple: clarity, confidence and measurable progress.

Cancellation Policy:
I require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full session fee
