About Joe
Hi I'm Joe, I've been playing guitar for 9 years and music is a big part of my life. I worked for Rhodes pianos prototyping and developing the mk8 before putting it into production for two years before I came to Australia from the UK. I have played in multiple bands over the years in many styles. I've also worked/volunteered sound teching live events both here and back home. I feel we learn most about music from playing live together and jamming! Practice of technique is important but it's really good to put it to use through jamming and bouncing musical ideas off each other and learning how to lock in with other musicians. I am really big on teaching skills on maintenance of our instruments because it saves us from paying others to do it and gives us a deeper understanding of our instrument which we can use to optimize its playing feel or tone.

As a tutor my aim is to listen to the student's playing style and musical interests and teach them the skills to achieve new skills and understanding whilst being led by the passion of music and keeping it fun. I also see the importance of setting up our instrument and amps to really optimize our sound as well as our playing.
