About Teresa

I am a native Spanish speaker and I have a degree in Spanish Philology and a Master’s in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE). This means that not only do I know the Spanish language in depth, but also I know the pedagogy behind it. Also, I lived in Ireland for 6 years, so I understand the specific challenges that English speakers might face when learning Spanish.

About the lesson

Methodology:
I love to keep my lessons engaging because when we have fun, we learn much more! :) After all, languages are tools for communication and, as such, they need to be actively used in order to be learned properly.
In my classes, you will find a good balance between "thinking" activities and dynamic exercises. This way you will get moments to slow down and focus on meaning and structure but also plenty of opportunities to put into practice what you learn.

What I offer:
- General Spanish classes. All levels. Taking the communicative approach mentioned before, you'll learn to use different grammar and vocabulary at the same time that you practice your speaking, listening, reading and writing.
- Conversation classes for Intermediate & Advanced - For gaining fluency, losing the fear to speak or just maintaining your level and not get rusty.
NOTE: My priority is that you learn and achieve your personal goals, so either class can be tailored to your needs, just get in touch with me and we can talk about it.

Not only is she a very skilled language teacher but she really understood my personal needs for learning the language and pushed me to be confident in my pursuit of it. She is my first recommendation for anyone looking to study Spanish and improve their abilities!
