About Kelly
Hello, I’m Kelly, a qualified Clinical Associate Psychologist working within NHS secondary adult community mental health services. I am passionate about psychology, mental health and supporting students to grow in confidence and achieve their academic goals.
My academic background includes a BPS accredited MSc in Clinical Associate Psychology, a First Class Honours degree in Psychology, an MSc in Child Forensic Psychology and Law, and a PGCert in Low Intensity CBT. I also previously worked as a BABCP accredited Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within NHS Talking Therapies, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and depression using evidence-based CBT approaches.
Alongside my clinical experience, I understand the challenges that come with studying psychology at an advanced level. I know how demanding essay writing, research methods, critical analysis and applying theory to practice can feel, particularly when balancing placements, work or personal responsibilities. My aim is to provide a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
I take a patient, approachable and personalised approach to tutoring. I adapt lessons to suit each student’s learning style and goals, whether that is improving grades, preparing for exams, developing academic writing skills or gaining a deeper understanding of psychology and mental health practice. I particularly enjoy helping students connect psychological theory to real clinical work and professional practice within the NHS.
I am reliable, professional and committed to helping students feel more confident and capable in their learning. Whether you are studying A-Level Psychology, completing an undergraduate degree, exploring CBT concepts or preparing for a career in mental health, I aim to make sessions engaging, practical and tailored to your needs.

I offer a supportive, engaging and evidence-based approach to tutoring, drawing on my experience working within NHS secondary adult community mental health services as a qualified Clinical Associate Psychologist. My teaching style is collaborative and tailored to the individual learner, helping students build confidence, critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of psychological theory and practice.
I have extensive experience applying psychology in real-world clinical settings, including assessment, formulation, CBT-informed interventions and trauma-informed practice. Alongside my current NHS role, I previously worked as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within NHS Talking Therapies, where I delivered low intensity CBT interventions and supported individuals experiencing anxiety and depression.
My qualifications include a BPS accredited MSc in Clinical Associate Psychology, a First Class Honours BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Child Forensic Psychology and Law, and a PGCert in Low Intensity CBT. I have previously held BABCP accreditation from my previous PWP role.
Lessons are typically 50–60 minutes and can be adapted depending on the student’s needs and goals. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding at their own pace. I can support with essay writing, critical analysis, research methods, academic confidence, CBT concepts, case formulation and psychology revision strategies.
My lessons are suitable for A-Level Psychology students, undergraduate psychology students, aspiring mental health professionals and postgraduate learners seeking support with psychology, mental health or CBT-related topics.
I am particularly well suited to supporting students interested in clinical psychology, forensic psychology and NHS mental health careers.
