About Edward
I am a practising secondary school French teacher with 15 years' experience teaching GCSE and IGCSE students. I have previously worked as Head of Department and as part of the senior leadership team, and I have coached and mentored new teachers in their classroom practice.
I currently teach exam classes and understand the academic and emotional pressures students face in school. I enjoy helping learners build confidence in French, particularly those who feel stuck or anxious about exams.
My approach is calm, structured and supportive, with a strong focus on clear explanations, exam technique and steady improvement in accuracy, fluency and results.

I offer online French tutoring for KS3, GCSE/IGCSE pupils with a focus on exam success, confidence building and clear understanding of key grammar and vocabulary.
My online French tutoring sessions typically last 60 minutes and are carefully structured. Each lesson includes clear explanations, guided practice using GCSE and IGCSE exam-style questions, and regular speaking practice to help students express ideas accurately and confidently in French.
Lessons are suitable for KS3, GCSE/IGCSE French students of all abilities, including those who feel stuck, lack confidence, or want to improve exam technique, grades and overall performance.
