Providing children with the best start in life drives my teaching, and I am passionate about playing a significant part in their learning. About the lesson

My name is Lucy, and I have ten years of teaching experience in primary school education. I specialise in Maths and English and am passionate about helping kids of all ages succeed in school. With my years working in the classroom, I understand students' needs and strive to find the best approach to boosting their grades and confidence. I'm an interactive and supportive tutor, using visual aids and modern technology to ensure students' needs are met and that their learning experience is fun and informative. I have a sound knowledge of the National Curriculum, having taught the Early Years, KS1 and KS2. I have been tutoring for two years with children aged 4-11, with help studying for SATS tests and eleven plus examinations.

I am lively and energetic and love engaging children in fun and purposeful learning experiences. I have a creative ethos with new fresh ideas and holistic approaches; I believe strongly in praising the process of children’s learning rather than the outcome or end product. I have a very calm, kind and patient manner and ensure that I make myself approachable to children.
