About Fiona

I’m Fiona, a qualified primary school teacher with four years’ experience in both mainstream and SET. I’m passionate about helping children become confident, enthusiastic learners. I want to teach because I love seeing children make progress, overcome challenges and discover that learning can be enjoyable and rewarding.

About the lesson

My lessons are friendly, engaging and tailored to each child’s individual needs and interests. We can focus on reading, phonics, spelling, writing, comprehension, vocabulary and grammar, while building confidence and developing a genuine enjoyment of English. I use varied, interactive activities to keep lessons enjoyable, purposeful and age-appropriate.

Deadly! We contacted Fiona to help improve our 4-year-old son’s English after moving to Ireland, as we had noticed he was experiencing some communication difficulties at school. Fiona has been wonderful! Our son really enjoys his lessons and the fun games she uses to make learning engaging and enjoyable. We’ve already seen progress in his English and confidence. We would highly recommend Fiona to any family looking for an English tutor for their child. 100% recommended!
