About Vicki

I have worked in six different schools, three of which were Special schools. During this time I worked in both KS1 & 2; taking group lessons and one on one tutor sessions. I have also tutored multiple pupil's in the home for entrance exam purposes. I have been working with children in clubs and youth groups from the age of 13. Therefore I have a fantastic knowledge surrounding the development of a child physically, emotionally and academically. I believe this gives me another insight into working around the child's home life and experiences to ensure full potential is achieved in learning. For both children I tutored in the home, I improved their grades by 30-40%. As a consequence, both children attained the scores to get into the Grammar school of their choice. In the schools I have always surpassed academic goals set, therefore both children and parents have always been impressed with the level of development of their child and in particular their increase in confidence.

About the lesson

I provide children with fun and inclusive lessons that help improve self esteem as well as increasing academic knowledge. I like to make lessons interesting and catered to each child's individual needs. Having a SEN background, I have the experience and abilities to mould lessons for pupils with special requirements. As a teacher I like to make sure my lessons help develop a child's confidence, as I feel it really adds to their academic performance, especially during examinations. I teach both Primary and Secondary in Maths and English.
