About Matthew
Science isn’t just about exams - it’s a lens to understand our rapidly evolving world. My passion lies in equipping students with both the technical skills to excel and the curiosity to see how their learning applies beyond the classroom. Whether it’s the ethics of genetics or the real-world impact of ecosystems, I help them connect dots to tomorrow’s challenges. My academic journey blended lab work with adventure: from fieldwork during my MSc to rehabilitating howler monkeys with a wildlife charity in Belize. These experiences taught me how to make complex ideas tangible - something I now bring to every tutoring session. By combining deeper conceptual understanding with exam-focused precision, my students don’t just improve their grades; many consistently achieve beyond their predicted results. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me hiking with my dog, volunteering for conservation projects, or cheering on my rugby team.
