About Sarah
I am a qualified secondary school teacher of German and Business, with a Professional Master of Education and a Bachelor's degree in Business and German from the University of Galway.
I have always had a strong interest in German and spent a year living and studying in Germany as part of my degree, which gave me the opportunity to develop my language skills and experience German language and culture first-hand.
As a teacher, I am friendly, patient and approachable. I know that German can sometimes feel challenging, particularly when it comes to grammar, and I enjoy helping students break it down and make sense of it. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and to leave lessons feeling that German is more manageable than they thought.

About the lesson

tailor each lesson to the individual student and their level, focusing on the areas where they need the most support. Lessons can cover grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening comprehension, written work, exam technique and oral preparation.
I aim to make German clear and approachable, using a mixture of explanations, examples, practice activities and exam-style questions. I also provide notes and resources to help students revise and build their confidence between lessons.
I am a qualified secondary school German and Business teacher and spent a year living and studying in Germany. I have also been providing German grinds for the past two years, helping students improve their confidence, understanding and exam performance.
Lessons are typically one hour long and are available for Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students at both Higher and Ordinary Level.
