About Pilar
Hi there! I am a native Spanish tutor based in Glasgow. I've been teaching here for about half a year with students from different backgrounds and ages. I recently gained a qualification in teaching Spanish as a second language from International House Madrid, which tested my ability to teach the language using innovative methods focused on student engagement and participation. I also have experience in teaching Spanish to people from across the world and varying levels of language competency, so I am able to adapt my lessons accordingly.
My teaching style is interactive, engaging, and above all, comprehensive.
I'll be teaching you all the components (oral, listening, reading comprehension, writing and grammar) you need to increase your Spanish fluency, and I'll deliver them in fun and dynamic lessons which utilise interactive exercises, games and audiovisual content alongside official ELE materials (from the Instituto Cervantes).
I can help you prepare for specific exams and qualifications, whether academic or extracurricular, or I can tailor my lessons to develop your Spanish for professional or travel purposes, or just for pleasure!
