About Ms

• UK Qualified Teacher: I hold QTS in both the UK and China, and I completed a PGCE in London. I teach Mandarin up to GCSE, AS, A-Level, IB, and HSK 6 Level, and have a Master’s degree in Chinese language and culture. I have also taught adult lessons to prepare individuals for working and studying in China.

About the lesson

• Broad Tutoring Experience: Outside of school hours, I teach primary students about Chinese culture and language, help secondary students prepare for exams, and offer business Mandarin lessons for adults at various levels. I also use engaging online tools to make learning Mandarin fun and effective, tailoring lessons to suit each student's unique learning style.

• Outstanding Exam Results: In 2023, all Year 11 students achieved a 100% pass rate, with 50% earning grade 9 and 87.5% achieving grade 8 or higher. I also conduct GCSE Chinese speaking exams for AQA and Edexcel boards. I have organized and taught HSK and YCT exams over the last few years, maintaining a near 100% pass rate annually. I have tutored A-Level and IB students with no prior Chinese background and served as an examiner for A-Level Chinese speaking assessments.

• Supportive Learning Environment: My teaching approach is dynamic and personalized. I use Google Classroom for homework management and tools like Quizlet, Blooket, and Memrise for vocabulary building. My goal is to create an encouraging environment that enhances students' participation and confidence in learning Mandarin.

• SEND Experience: I have extensive experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ADHD and Autism. I am patient and skilled in adapting my teaching to meet their unique needs.

• Textbooks: I am familiar with various textbooks, such as Jinbu 1 and 2, Chinese Sentence Builders, AQA Chinese GCSE Textbook 1 and 2, and Edexcel GCSE Books. I also have a rich resource bank, including all kinds of past exam papers from the past 10 years.
