I am a Queen's University Concurrent Education student, which means I am studying to become a teacher. I am completing my undergrad program with a major in Health Studies and a minor in Psychology. I have significant experience in private tutoring, small group lessons, and full classroom learning.

As a teacher candidate, I have the experience of working under several teachers during placements. My most recent placement took place in a special education classroom, with a focus on reading. I gained a variety of useful resources that allow me to deliver fun, engaging and informative lessons. I have participated in professional development workshops alongside Ontario certified teachers, including the new approach to teaching reading that largely focuses on phonics. I have collected data from students that demonstrate and represent their progress in various skills during our time together. I am passionate in teaching reading and literacy in ages 4 to 12.
