About Ella
My name is Ella.
I am a student at university. My main wish is to spread my love of English. Growing up, my English teacher was like a family member to me and she taught me everything I know. My one wish is to give that same level of comfort and an empowering voice to the students that I teach. I believe it is imperative for students to not only understand the narrative of a text, but to place their own opinion and theories through their writing - whilst meeting the expectations of the exam board. There is a unique beauty in literary expression. I am therefore also happy to aid those writing a dissertation at A-Level or an EPQ.

My approach to private tutoring is to provide a friendly, reassuring, guidance through literature with the knowledge that I have built up through education. I have an outstanding familiarity with the AQA specification. I wish to share my passion and boost the confidence of those studying to enable them to be proud of their results.
I typically cover the content, context and structure of a text. Key texts I have studied are 'Othello', 'The Great Gatsby', 'Macbeth', 'Lord of the Flies' and both A-level 'Love' poetry and GCSE 'War and Conflict' anthologies. However, please feel free to message for specific queries.
I am a student at university continuing to study my passion - English Literature. My overall aim is to put together a structured plan on how best to achieve a high grade at GCSE or A-Level through each 1 hour lesson. I would be delighted to also read through previous essays or provide exemplar pieces of analysis to assist in any way I am able to.
