About Muriel

Teaching is my passion.
I have started my teaching journey as a ballet instructor while I was doing my masters in Geopolitics at Université Saint Joseph. I have worked with the European Union as a communications manager and published many research articles and newsletters. I have a passion for languages and i'm fluent in 5, French of course is my favorite. As a native speaker and a french girl exploring the world I have taught french in every country i have lived in as a way to remain connected to my roots and share with people my love for the french language.
People often perceive the french language as complicated and difficult; but french is considered the language of art, culture, Poetry. It is known for its precision and elegance in expression. It has a vast vocabulary that allows a lot of nuances and subtlety in communications. French is a fascinating language once you begin to understand and master it, and I can help you on this journey.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I employ interactive teaching methods with playful techniques and anecdotes to maximize my students' learning capacity, while maintaining a fun environment. With personalized plans that cater to diverse levels and backgrounds I ensure an effective and engaging French learning journey for all.
A typical lesson plan for a beginner would include the following:

1-Introduction: Greetings and brief overview of the lesson objectives.
2-Vocabulary Building: Introduce basic French words and phrases related to everyday topics such as greetings, numbers, colors, and common objects.
3-Grammar Focus: Teach foundational grammar concepts such as subject pronouns, verb conjugation (present tense of regular verbs), and basic sentence structure.
4-Practice Activities: Engage in interactive exercises like role-plays, fill-in-the-blank exercises, and simple conversations to reinforce vocabulary and grammar concepts.
5-Listening and Speaking Practice: Listen to audio recordings of native speakers and practice pronunciation through repetition and dialogue practice.
6-Cultural Insight: Introduce elements of French culture, customs, and etiquette to provide context and enrich learning.
