About Alex
As a freshman in college, I started learning French from scratch despite 4 years of French classes in middle and high school. After 2 years I moved abroad to study in Bordeaux, France. 2 years later I finished my bachelor's in earth science and geography.
My personal endeavors include a progression into a career of nursing. Currently I am a certified EMT and phlebotomist (blood drawing) and work part time on an ambulance.

I have a very firm understanding of the grammar and 'structure' of French as well as comprehension in oral conversation.
I offer my services to anyone who wants to learn French or needs help in classes but lean more towards high school and middle school students that are in French 1-4 and AP French. The reason is that I understand how these classes are structured and have experience with workbook assignments, studying for quizzes/exams, and essays. I recall from my middle school and high school years how difficult and frustrating it was sometimes to understand French from the perspective of an American student. I struggled myself in these classes and later realized that French classes in the US often lack practical use and are full of busy work that doesn't help the material 'stick'. Aside from tutoring in a way to structure and organize the grammar and vocabulary in a neat and easy format, I find that tutoring is very satisfying and rewarding, for why I want to teach those that need help.
My lesson plans would entail 1-2 hours and would focus on anything confusing or unclear. I have no formal work plan or structure on how the lesson would progress, as long as the student understands the material.
