About Olivier
I am a Canadian living in London, having recently completed a PhD in History. In addition to modern history, I have a passion for languages and literature. I was lucky enough to grow up speaking English and French at home and I am now learning German. I am most happy in a learning environment and I look forward to helping you on your journey!

Throughout my time teaching, I have focused on developing strategies for maximal student engagement, especially with the study of primary texts or literature. My aim is to help students build confidence in these subjects by guiding their natural curiosity and encouraging them to follow through on their own questions and ideas. As their tutor, it is my job to bridge this curiosity with the expected learning outcomes of the course.
I have refined this approach through five years of teaching undergraduate students at the University of Cambridge. I have since developed and adapted my teaching skills to accommodate the needs of GSE and A level students. Lessons will typically last an hour, but this is variable based on the needs of each student.
