About Emma
I am a super reader and love to write, whether it be in journals, essays, or even texts and emails (or this about you section!). I also completed English BA honors degree, minor in history. This passion is what has brought me to this platform, and I can't wait to share this love for language with others. Who knows, maybe there is a writer in there you didn't know existed! I spent the last year living in Madrid, Spain where I worked alongside students and learned what it means to be the teacher in an academic space, and plan to bring that to our lessons as well!

A typical lesson begins by identifying the topics or assignments you need help with. We then work through concepts together using guided discussion, examples, and practice exercises. For essay support, we'll brainstorm ideas, develop strong thesis statements, improve structure and organization, and refine your writing while building the skills to edit your own work confidently. I encourage questions throughout the lesson and provide constructive feedback to help you make steady progress.
When it comes to writing, it's more than what you put down on paper, but also why. With that being said, I help students develop the critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills needed to succeed independently. My goal is that one day my services will be rendered useless due to your independent progress!
My lessons are ideal for high school, college, and university students studying English Language or English Literature. I can help with literary analysis, essay writing, research papers, grammar and style, reading comprehension, exam preparation, citation formats (MLA, APA, and Chicago), and overall academic writing. Whether you need ongoing tutoring throughout the semester or support with a specific assignment, lessons are personalized to help you reach your academic goals.
