About Nataña
I am a recent graduate student from the University of Colorado, Boulder and I am a resident of California. I have published, presented at Art History symposiums, and have a strong interest to teach in a college setting.
Most of all I am interested in making connections between art history and our modern lives. I believe they are important because of the lessons that history teaches us but also to gain cross cultural and temporal understanding with humans that faced similar challenges, and sought answers using art as an effective means of communication.
Coming from an artist background, technically the other side of the spectrum as a learner, I approached learning purely visually. Thus, I understand the roadblocks trying to understand some topics like art history, which can be writing and reading heavy.
However, I believe we can overcome them to make topics in history more interesting and more useful in our daily lives.
