About Ellen

I’ve always had a love for reading and creative writing—no surprise there, given I grew up with a poet as my father! My passion for learning drives me to share knowledge and watch students blossom into confident, independent thinkers. I completed year 12 at St Leonards College last year achieving study scores of 35+ in both VCE English and Literature. As well as that, I am someone with ADHD. Therefore, I’ve developed my own strategies to stay organized, unravel tricky concepts, and manage study stress throughout school. Now, I’m excited to pass those techniques on to students who might struggle with traditional learning styles. When I’m not tutoring, I’m on the AFL field—whether I’m playing or coaching, I love the camaraderie and community it brings to my life. Currently, I’m enjoying a gap year, exploring new learning opportunities and figuring out the next steps in my education. Tutoring has become a fantastic way for me to keep learning, connect with others, and help students achieve their goals!

About the lesson

I’ve been tutoring for over a year and bring a friendly, supportive approach to every lesson. My sessions typically run for an hour and are tailored to suit each student’s individual learning styles and goals. Whether you're looking to build confidence, improve your understanding, or get ahead, I’m here to help make learning clear, engaging, and achievable. My lessons focus not just on academic skills, but also on building confidence. I believe that when students feel supported and empowered, they can become more independent learners and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

My work extends beyond the hours I spend with my students, behind the scenes I prepare detailed notes and lesson plans for my students to ensure they get the best learning possible.
