About James
I also have an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Birmingham, in which I achieved a 1st. I am also an English graduate with a TEFL degree (Teaching English as a foreign language).
My teaching experience totals 9 years, in which I have taught a variety of students of all ages and abilities. I have taught english in various summer schools, individual lessons and group sessions, aimed at improving pupils' reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
During my university career, I juggled teaching alongside my rigorous academic life and busy sporting commitments.
Currently, I teach children and adults full time to play sport. I believe the skills needed for both sporting and academic improvement are incredibly transferable, and lessons can be tailored to suit individual needs.

I always teach the individual first, and the subject second.
Learning styles are a crucial component of any teacher-pupil relationship, as every student learns using slightly different methodology. Before starting any tutoring, it is important to get to know your pupil and how they learn best. Visual, verbal, physical and logical learning styles all present different challenges to a tutor, but I am more than capable of adapting to the needs of my student!
