I am a recent university graduate (Masters of Peace and Conflict Studies and Bachelors of International Studies with an emphasis in Political Science. I have not done formal tutorials before. However, I have helped friends and classmates to understand concepts from lectures.

I would approach the topic as a discussion. This would work 3-fold; an icebreaker at the start, a way in which I can find exactly what information my student(s) want or need to learn; a model for the courses in general.
When I was at university, my favourite classes were those that were taught in a seminar rather than a lecture style. In this professors would introduce topics and the topics would be discussed based on the materials that we were asked to read beforehand.
